Now in a stable condition, both koalas are being monitored by RSPCA vets who say smoke inhalation can take up to three days to clear in the animals. Fire crews in Queensland will have a brief reprieve on Wednesday as weather conditions improve and 80 fires continue to burn, before the danger spikes again.
