Man who lost wife, son speaks after epileptic jailed over fatal crash

September 14, 2019. Darren Bullock speaks to reporters outside the Parramatta District Court in Sydney on September 13. Mr Bullock lost his wife and young son when Athena Vibert drove into their car after likely suffering an epileptic fit. The accident left his daughter Sienna fighting for life. Athena Vibert was sentenced to three-and-half years in jail with a non-parole period of 18 months over the incident. "I'm actually a bit disappointed in the sentence," Mr Bullock says. "Eighteen months for killing two people and hurting Sienna the way she was hurt seems a bit light on. It was an avoidable accident." Vibert previously pleaded guilty to two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death and one count of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm. (AAP Video/Hannah Higgins)
