Despite a brief reprieve in conditions, firefighters in the Gold Coast Hinterland have not become complacent as they head into a weekend of uncertainty. There are 50 blazes still burning across Queensland and 100 fire trucks are working to put out those fires. A blaze burning in Sarabah was of most concern to firefighters in the hinterland on Friday, with the fire warning upgraded to a watch and act around midday. That warning has since been downgraded to an advice level, along with others in lower Beechmont, Illinbah, Numinbah Valley and Binna Burra. Image: News Corp Australia
