ASX jumps at open after Wall St’s highest rise since 1933

The ASX opened on Wednesday up an enormous six per cent off the back of an 11 per cent rise by the Dow Jones on Wall Street, its biggest jump since 1933. Sky News Business Editor Ticky Fullerton said “this is all on the rumour of the $2 trillion US package that Donald Trump is supposedly very close to passing through congress”. “A warning here to anybody that thinks we’ve got to the bottom of the market,” Ms Fullerton said. “The experience over the last two weeks has been when the market rockets up, they also rocket back down again.” Image: Getty
