Death of woman, 81, brings Australia’s coronavirus death toll to seven

An 81-year-old woman has become the seventh person in Australia to die from the coronavirus, according to NSW Health. The woman was reportedly in close contact with a case linked to Ryde hospital, in Sydney's north west. Her death brings the NSW death toll to six and the national death toll to seven. On Thursday, 46 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in NSW, bringing the state's total to 353. Across the country more than 700 people have become infected with the virus, prompting major changes to border policy. Image: Getty
