Northern Territory police are patrolling bottle shops to prevent people from panic buying alcohol as the state cracks down on travel restrictions. Strict controls have been placed on remote Indigenous communities to prevent COVID-19 from putting the state’s most vulnerable at risk. The state’s borders will be locked down from 4pm today and anyone travelling into the state after the deadline will be forced to self-isolate for 14 days.
