New Zealand police are investigating an online threat made against worshipers at one of the Christchurch mosques targeted in last year's March 15 terror attack. The threat was made in the lead up to the first anniversary of the 2019 attack when 51 worshipers were killed and dozens more injured across two mosques. New Zealand police said they were close to tracking the person responsible for the threat. Meanwhile, NZ Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said it was difficult to believe someone could threaten Christchurch’s Islamic community so soon after last year’s attack. "I would be amongst many New Zealanders who will be devastated to see that as we head towards the one year anniversary of a most horrific terror attack on a Muslim community, that they should then be the target of this kind of activity,” she said. A national remembrance service will be held in Christchurch on Sunday, March 15 to mark the first anniversary of the twin mosque attacks. Image: AP
