Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to a ceasefire in the Syrian province of Idlib near the Turkish border. Mr Putin held talks with the Turkish President in Moscow after weeks of unrest in the region. Under the agreement, a new security corridor will be established along the Syria-Turkish border with patrols to deter forces from travelling north or south from either country. Turkey launched a counter-offensive incursion into Syrian territory after Turkish outposts in de-escalation zones were allegedly attacked by Syrian forces. Image: AP
