More than 1,500 people were placed under evacuation orders on March 3 in Norco, California, as a wind-driven brush fire broke out and quickly grew to a reported 175 acres. The fire, described locally as the Mann Fire, was concentrated in the Santa Ana River bottom, the Corona Fire Department said. According to Cal Fire, the blaze spanned 175 acres and was at 20 percent containment at 3.40 pm local time. Two people sustained non-life threatening injuries and five properties were damaged.
