The border between the United States and Canada is set to close to all non-essential travel in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus. US President Donald Trump confirmed the decision was made by mutual consent. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced trade would continue across the border but encouraged citizens to stay home. The move comes after the US already placed strict travel restrictions on Europe. The US President also announced he would send two hospital ship to New York with 1,000 hospital beds on board to relieve pressure on state hospitals.
