Authorities fear devastating virus outbreak in US homeless camps

Fears are growing over a possible coronavirus outbreak throughout downtown Los Angeles’ Skid Row, where around 5,000 homeless people are living, gathered across less than a square mile. Authorities have halved the number of people staying in women’s shelter, fitted to accommodate 200 women normally, which has been repurposed as an isolation unit for those who have tested positive to the virus.
