A rock climber is recovering in hospital after falling about 20 metres down a 200-metre cliff in the Blue Mountains on Sunday. The man was forced to spend 23 hours on the small ledge of the cliff after a rescue attempt was halted due to nightfall. He sustained multiple fractures to his ankles and wrists and was in a stable condition.
