China releases only two of three Sinovac vaccine trial results

Questions have been raised about the efficacy and safety of China’s Sinovac vaccine after the country released the results of only two of three trials, according to Asia Correspondent Adrian Brown. China’s pharmaceutical industry is expanding production capacity in a bid to produce as many as five billion doses of the vaccine by the end of 2021. Mr Brown said China’s vaccine had an efficacy rate of about 50 per cent and could be stored at fridge temperature which made it a more attractive option for developing nations.
