NSW has become the first state to reach the 70 per cent fully vaccinated target – but there will be no change to the lockdown this weekend. Gyms, cafes and restaurants will reopen on October 11 to fully vaccinated people. Gatherings of up to 5 inoculated people inside a home will be allowed – including travel beyond the 5 kilometre bubble. Regional travel will not be permitted until the 80 per cent vaccination target is reached. In a fast-track decision – children's' indoor swimming lessons will be included in next week's reopening.
