A diplomatic row has erupted between France and the UK after the migrant tragedy in the English Channel which killed 27 people. French President Emmanuel Macron reacted angrily to the UK government's public call for France to take back migrants. UK Prime Minsiter Boris Johnson tweeted a letter he sent to Mr Macron which proposed ways to help avoid a repeat of Wednesday's tragedy. But the French President wasn't impressed, withdrawing the UK from an emergency summit to address Channel crossings.
