Two separate incidents caused the M40 to be closed on the morning of Friday, September 28, Warwickshire Police confirmed. Highways England informed the public around 4am that a HGV fire caused the closure on the northbound carriageway of the M40 between junction 15 and 16 (Warwick and Henley). A second incident, a two-vehicle collision, caused the closure of the southbound carriageway said Highways England.
