A young couple and their friend were on the trip of a lifetime motorbiking across the Australian outback in 1978 when they were lured into bushland at Spear Creek, Mount Isa and fatally shot. The person responsible for killing Karen Edwards, Tim Thomson and Gordon Twaddle was never caught and the case eventually turned cold. The murders are now the subject of a new true crime podcast called Spear Creek, which investigates the group’s travels and attempts to discover who was responsible for their untimely deaths. Sky News presenter Danica De Giorgio speaks to Courier Mail Crime Editor Kate Kyriacou about the new podcast.
