Drought-stricken Gunnedah, in New South Wales, received 80.6 mm rain on Saturday, March 30, which brought flash flooding to some areas. Jessie Smith was driving from Gunnedah to Moree via Narrabri and filmed flooded roads and low-lying areas along the way. The Northern Daily Leader reported the State Emergency Service was called to rescue a couple at Gunnedah stranded by floodwaters in their car, and that localised flooding was affecting roads.
