Albanese says the government should negotiate with Labor over tax amendments

July 2, 2019. Opposition leader Anthony Albanese speaks to the media before the blessing of the 46th Parliament at St Christopher's Cathedral Manuka, Canberra. Labor's is refusing to pass stage three of the government's tax cuts. Mr Albanese is asking the government to consider Labor's amendments that it will push in the senate and if successful, then seek to legislate them in the House of Representatives. "Every Australian worker can get a tax cut this week," Mr Albanese says. "It's about time the government stopped playing politics and produced good national economic policy."
