The Morrison Government is facing its first big internal push-back over Ken Wyatt's call for a referendum on Indigenous recognition in the Constitution. Coalition MPs have told Sky News that Mr Wyatt is out of step with the Liberal party room, while some have expressed frustration over a lack of consultation on the issue before the Indigenous Affairs Minister proposed the idea. One Coalition MP says some members are terrified about the prospect of a third chamber of parliament with any sort of veto power.
