Vietnam Airlines flight forced to abort landing in Melb at last minute

An investigation has been launched after a Vietnam Airlines plane was forced to abort its landing at the last minute because it failed to extend its landing wheels. The flight shocked air traffic controllers when it came within a minute of touching down on the tarmac without its wheels lowered at Melbourne Airport. The plane rapidly ascended to 5,000 feet before safely landing 30 minutes later in proper protocol. Image: AP
