The ASX200 has breached 7000 points to reach an all-time high in the first minutes of trading on Thursday. Investors were buoyed by the signing of phase one of the US-China trade deal, which happened in the early hours of Thursday morning. The first stage of the deal included a pledge by China to buy an extra $200 billion worth of goods in the next two years. The deal was good for financial markets because it showed the two economic super powers were willing work together. Image: Getty
