The West Australian’s Ben O’Shea says he doesn't think Joe Biden necessarily did Australia “any favours” during his meeting with Xi Jinping but at least he didn’t “throw us under the bus”. The Australian Financial Review is reporting President Biden warned the Chinese President America would remain firm when it comes to defending Taiwan's current standing during their first summit. “What I like about it though is last time Joe Biden was out in public he threw ScoMo under the bus with Emmanuel Macron,” Mr O’Shea told Sky News host Jenna Clarke. “I think this time he maybe didn’t throw us under the bus with China but I don’t think he necessarily did us any favours either.”
