Further easing of COVID restrictions as Victoria closes in on vaccine milestone

Victoria has removed almost all COVID restrictions fully vaccinated residents as the state approaches its 90 per cent double dose target a week earlier than initially projected. More than 88 per cent of Victorians have received both of their COVID jabs and almost 93 per cent have had one dose. Premier Daniel Andrews has congratulated those who rolled up their sleeve. Nightclubs have reopened and sitting while drinking is no longer required. Limits on home visitors have been removed, along with density limits at hospitality venues. Masks are no longer mandatory in most workplaces with the exception of high-risk occupations. The face coverings are however still required for customers and workers in retail and restaurant settings until December 15.
