Kyle Rittenhouse acquitted on all charges

Kyle Rittenhouse, the US teenager who shot and killed two men during racial justice protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, has been found not guilty on all charges. The 18-year-old was charged with two counts of homicide, one attempted homicide and two counts of recklessly endangering safety after fatally shooting Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber and wounding Gaige Grosskreutz during racial justice protests on August 25, 2020. Lawyers for Rittenhouse argued the teenager was within his rights to bring the AR-15 weapon and acted out of self-defence when attacked. “The charges against [the] defendant on all counts are dismissed with prejudice and he’s released from the obligation of his bond,” Judge Bruce Schroeder told the court.
