Northern Territory COVID cluster linked to previous outbreak

Genomic testing has linked a coronavirus cluster affecting the Northern Territory's Indigenous population to another outbreak in November. A 21-year-old woman - who lied about visiting Victoria upon entering Darwin - gave the virus to a defence contractor, who then passed it onto his housemates. It's unknown how the virus then travelled to a Katherine household before it was brought into the remote community of Robinson River. The Territory marked it's first day this week of no new cases, but Chief Minister Michael Gunner warns the coming days are crucial for contract tracers. The Katherine-Robinson River cluster stands at 19 cases.
