Political strategist Brigid Meney says NSW Planning Minister Rob Stokes' ban on dark-coloured roofs may lead to an increase in house prices. "I don't think that people actually care about the colour of their roofs," Ms Meney told Sky News host Cory Bernardi. "But when it comes to big announcements and changes like this it does affect material supply chains, which can lead to added costs, which can drive up housing prices even further, which can delay new housing builds if this kind of ban is implemented abruptly or ... without much thought put into it. "So it's about the colour, yes, but it's actually about the housing price."
