President and First Lady Help Serve Thanksgiving Meal at Fort Bragg

US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden donned aprons to dish out an early Thanksgiving meal to service members and families at Fort Bragg on November 22. Footage released by the White House shows the first couple speaking to those gathered for the celebration. “I know what it feels like for all your families here because you won’t be home for the holidays, and I know what it’s like to see that empty seat at the table,” Jill Biden said, referencing the couple’s late son Beau, who had served in the military. “I want to thank not only you warriors, but I want to thank your families because they stand and wait, and I know how hard it is to have someone who’s not at the table on a holiday,” Joe Biden said.
