Stinky Corpse Flower Blooms at San Diego Botanic Garden

A corpse flower, famed for its putrid stench, began its rare bloom at the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas, California, on October 31. Timelapse video taken by staff at the garden shows the flower opening up inside a greenhouse as visitors come and go. The full blossom lasts about 48 hours.
