WA Premier Mark McGowan is expected to release his reopening plan for the state on Friday. The state is due to open to New South Wales at 12am on Saturday after downgrading its "extreme risk" designation. West Australians will be able to return home, subject to quarantine conditions. Fully vaccinated approved travellers - including Government officials and military personnel - can also enter should they return a negative COVID test prior to departure and complete 14 days of self-quarantine. Premier Mark McGowan says his government will spend an additional $400 million on the health system to prepare to live with the virus.
