A man has faced court accused of abducting a 26-year-old woman from a Gold Coast shopping centre carpark. Andrew Bush, 47, has appeared in court on Tuesday charged with kidnapping, unlawful entry of a vehicle and assault following the incident at Robina Town Centre on Monday night. Police allege the woman was followed to her car and forced to drive while the accused pulled her hair and covered her mouth in an attempt to subdue her. Police say the woman was on the phone to her mother at the time of the alleged kidnapping, who was able to call the police and alert them to the situation. The suspect, who is due to appear in court next month, handed himself in to police on Tuesday.
