Antifa sympathisers are ‘whitewashing’ violence: Andy Ngo

Independent journalist Andy Ngo says it’s disturbing that Antifa sympathisers in the media are ‘whitewashing’ the far-left group. Mr Ngo was hospitalised with a brain haemorrhage after being beaten, kicked and had milkshakes thrown on him, some of which police claim may have contained quick-drying cement. Antifa is a loose collection of groups, the members of which claim to be anti-fascists and believe in aggressively combating right-wing movements. At this stage, no one has been arrested in relation to the attack against Mr Ngo. Some journalists have dismissed the incident or made light of the attack due to claims the editor of the online journal Quillette is not a journalist. Mr Ngo told Sky News that these critics are ‘hypocrites’ who often say the public ‘shouldn’t victim blame.’ He says due to his political stance, these critics believe he is ‘the wrong type of victim.’
