Australians to receive $1,080 next week if tax cut package is passed: Frydenberg

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says low-and-middle-income earners will see the promised $1,080 in their bank accounts by next week, if the government’s tax cuts package is passed. Mr Frydenberg says the Australian taxation office staff is ready to move it through the system once Australians put in their tax returns. He says it’s clear with Anthony Albanese continuing to oppose the Coalition’s tax cuts that he has learnt nothing from the election defeat. ‘This is Anthony Albanese’s first fail’, he says.
