Firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire in Ridgecrest, California, on July 4, after a magnitude-6.4 earthquake shook the area. The US Geological Survey said the quake occurred 12 kilometers southwest of Searles Valley at 10.33 am. Cal City Fire Department reported a structure fire on South Sunland Street, seen in this footage, at 11.34 am. A local journalist later reported the garage, roof and antique cars inside the home were completely destroyed by the fire, and the owner had been out during the quake. The Los Angeles Times reported that it was the largest temblor to hit the region in years. There were no immediate reports of fatalities. Credit: Ben Hood via Storyful
