Berejiklian “absolutely” wants MP Tanya Davies to stay on

September 19, 2019. NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian speaking to reporters in Sydney, is asked if she wants Tanya Davies to remain after the rebel MP joined with Lou Amato and Matthew Mason-Cox in announcing they would call a spill motion against the premier over her handling of a private member's bill to decriminalise abortion. “Absolutely,” Ms Berejiklian says. The MPs later said they would withdraw the motion. The NSW upper house will debate further proposed changes to the abortion decriminalisation bill, after rejecting an amendment to ban sex-selective abortions on Wednesday night.
