A Massachusetts Senate bill is moving forward which outlines several policies to reach a goal of net-zero carbon emissions in 30 years. One of the more radical changes could mean the end of gas-powered vehicles in the state. Democratic Senator Michael Barrett said “in Massachusetts, and really throughout the country, we all need to be in electric vehicles by 2050”. The bill also proposes changes to how homes and buildings are heated, most of which is done by natural gas or heating oil. Image: Getty
