Sky News Contributor Bruce Wolpe says sanctions on Iran, imposed by the United States, are "really crippling the country". Iran's supreme leader warned EU troops in the Middle East while leading Friday prayers for the first time in eight years. "There is a need for the leadership to re-establish its authority and unity," Mr Wolpe said. "After the downing of the Ukrainian plane, the country erupted again against the Iranian government," he said. "You have serious internal politics and divisions inside the country, they are suffering under the American sanctions and there is no off-ramp right now between Iran and the West." Image: AP
