Queenslanders will receive a text message reminder asking them to get vaccinated – as the state prepares to administer almost half a million jabs in the next eight weeks. A new advertising campaign will also launch later this month - and mobile, pop-up vaccination clinics will target regions lagging behind in vaccine uptake. The state is expected to receive 435,000 Pfizer doses from the Commonwealth this month with 82,000 doses expected to arrive each week in September. Queensland is currently lagging in last place in the vaccine rollout with just over 53 per cent of those eligible having had their first dose.
