New figures reveal more than 1200 people have died waiting to receive NDIS packages from July 2016 to September 2019, with South Australia enduring the longest wait. There were 65 children among those who died while waiting for support in the past three years, 35 of whom were under the age of six. Families in South Australia are waiting 210 days on average.
