AUKUS trilateral partnership allows for increased defence of Australia ‘should we need that’

Adoni Media’s Leisa Goddard says the AUKUS partnership with the US and UK gives Australia extra weapons and arsenal, and allows further defence of the country “should the time come that we need that”. "So you're going to see Tomahawk cruise missiles that we'll access to, which can travel at 1,500 kilometres as opposed to the ones we have now which are 150 kilometres,” she told Sky News host Gary Hardgrave. “You're talking about, when these subs do go online, you can get from Perth to the bottom of the South China Sea in a couple of days, as opposed to slowly chugging your way there over a number of weeks.”
