The New South Wales Deputy Premier has again broken ranks with Gladys Berejiklian after speaking out against curfews as a measure to stem rising COVID case numbers. John Barilaro has declared nightly curfews 'don't work' - and dismissed the idea of imposing one on the regional city of Dubbo. The Deputy Premier says they were only introduced for Sydney areas of concern as a result of media pressure. Residents of 12 Sydney local government areas are banned from leaving their homes between 9pm and 5am with the exception of authorised workers or emergency situations.
