NSW lockdown: Pubs, clubs, sporting events to open next month for fully-vaxxed

Vaccinated residents in New South Wales could be able to to visit pubs, clubs and attend live sporting events as early as next month. The New South Wales government is expected to reveal a roadmap out of the state's harshest lockdown next week – which will rely heavily on vaccination rates. Double-vaccinated football fans are expected to be welcomed at Bankwest Stadium next month, when the Socceroos host a crucial World Cup qualifier, according to The Sunday Telegraph. Hospitality venues and pubs are also preparing for an October reopening with more than 80 per cent of hospitality workers either fully vaccinated or planning to get the jab by next month. Spring Racing is also expected to return in time for The Everest on October 16 under a bold plan put forward by Racing Minister Kevin Anderson. It comes as the number of COVID cases in New South Wales rose by more than 1500 yesterday. The chairman of Lifeline has declared the mental health pandemic is real and it is a crisis.
