Pedestrians Wade Through Rushing Floodwaters in Southern France After Heavy Rain

Flooding struck parts of southern France on September 14, with heavy rainfall causing disruptions to transport in the region. Meteo-France, the country’s meteorological service, issued a red alert for the department of the Gard on Tuesday, and placed nearby departments under orange alerts. According to local reports, more than 7 inches of rain fell in Saint-Dionisy, including more than four inches in the span of an hour. This footage, shared on Tuesday by emergency services in the Gard, shows pedestrians navigating the flooding near a gas station in Milhaud, France, located in the department.
