Politicians need to admit climate action will cost taxpayers dearly: Credlin

Sky News host Peta Credlin says the country’s politicians and business leaders need to admit that reducing emissions will cost taxpayers dearly. Ms Credlin says big businesses are ‘political cowards’ that don’t ‘want to rock the boat’ in calling out Australia’s ‘economically backward’ climate change policies. She says that 'unless we bring on more reliable baseload power, and lift the ideology-driven bans on gas exploration and extraction, all of us will be poorer, because power prices will be much higher, and our heavy manufacturing industry will cease to exist'.
