Authorities in Greenbelt, Maryland, used trash grabbers to capture a four-foot-long exotic ball python spotted outside the city’s Department of Public Works building, next to a park and playground, on Thursday, September 16. The snake was first sighted by Brian Townsend outside his Department of Public Works office next to Buddy Attick Park. Police officers, public works employees, and animal control officers worked together to catch the non-poisonous python, the City of Greenbelt said. How the snake ended up there is unknown, local media reported. Animal control officer Rebecca Meyers, who led the operation and is seen in the video lifting the snake into a red container, estimated that the python was four feet long, WUSA9 reported.
