Debris Flies Amid Radar Confirmed Tornado in Annapolis, Maryland

The National Weather Service (NWS) reported a radar confirmed tornado in the vicinity of Annapolis, Maryland, on September 1, as remnants of Hurricane Ida caused bouts of severe weather on the east coast. Tornado warnings were also issued for swaths of the eastern seaboard on September 1, including New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The NWS said it anticipated the greatest tornado threats to be from central Maryland to southern New Jersey.
