A tornado that caused catastrophic damage in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, on September 1, likely had peak wind speeds of around 150 mph, the National Weather Service said, categorizing it as EF-3. The twister was one of at least seven to form in New Jersey and Pennsylvania on September 1, as the remnants of Hurricane Ida moved across the northeast. Dozens were reported dead in the region, including at least 25 in New Jersey. This drone footage, taken on September 2 in Mullica Hill, shows destruction caused by the EF-3 tornado.
