President Joe Biden is set to declare a new chapter in American foreign policy when he speaks at the United Nations that will focus on "intensive diplomacy" It comes as Prime Minister Scott Morrison flies into the US – straight into a diplomatic crisis with France. French officials are so far refusing to meet with the Australians and the Americans at the United Nations. The French continue to be upset with how the nuclear submarine deal played out, saying it was "malicious" and a "stab in the back". The White House has said Joe Biden will have a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron discussing the loss of the French submarine contract but also looking at constructive ways to move forward.
