Emergency workers took part in evacuations at Milan-Malpensa airport in Lombardy, Italy, on September 16, after intense rainfall caused flash floods in the area. According to local reports, extreme weather disrupted travel at several airports in Lombardy, as flights had to be diverted. Over three inches of rain fell at Milan-Malpensa in less than two hours, more precipitation than the area sometimes receives in a month. This footage, recorded on Thursday evening, shows driving rain lashing the airport, including the tarmac. Credit: @gigi_venditti7593 via Storyful
