Suspect Charged After Doing ‘Bizarre’ Dance to Allegedly Pickpocket Rolex

Detectives in Birmingham, England, released CCTV footage of an alleged street thief who broke into a “bizarre” and aggressive dance as a pretext to steal a Rolex watch from an unsuspecting couple. According to police, the suspect in the footage, identified as 24-year-old Abdelhadi Bahou-Jabour, “enjoyed his last tango in Birmingham” after being charged on Wednesday, September 1, at the city’s Crown Court. The CCTV footage shows a man approaching a couple around midnight on July 10. After high-fiving the pair, the suspect wraps a leg around them and does a series of grinding dance moves before slipping a £9,000 Rolex watch from the woman’s wrist. It ends with the suspect giving the couple a thumbs-up as he casually walks off with the watch. The suspect attempted a similar robbery just moments after this incident but was unsuccessful, according to police. The 24-year-old is due to be sentenced on October 6.
